Gracie Barra Burleigh Heads Instructors

Professor Pedro grew up in Barra da Tijuca/Rio de Janeiro, and had as his Professor Alexandre Soca, who is top Black Belt from Gracie Barra, under Master Carlos Gracie Jr.  Professor Pedro started his journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1996.

In all his time in Gracie Barra, Professor Pedro has always had the dream to open his own Gracie Barra School.

Supported by Professor Marcelo Rezende - GBHQ (which guided and directed him to the right path, reinforcing the methods of teaching and family values) his dream came through in 2014, when Professor Pedro and his wife opened Gracie Barra Wollongong. Earlier 2015 Professor Pedro opened a new location - Gracie Barra Campbelltown - with his student, Professor Clint Burns. Not too long ago, Feb/2017 Professor Pedro and his wife decided to move to Queensland and opening the first ever Gracie Barra on the Gold Coast.  

“It is a pleasure to teach kids, women and men the philosophy, the principles and the discipline that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can bring to their lives. It's amazing to see the changes in peoples lives when they decide to live the jiujitsu life style. I am very proud to and honoured to be part of this” He says.
